Mr. Vineeth K. Vibhu is a Senior Naval Architect of Marine Design and Operations, Inc. He is involved in a variety of projects to include Naval Architectural calculations, structural design and onboard surveys in the Marine and Oil & Gas industry.

 

Mr. Vibhu has executed intact and damage stability calculations, longitudinal strength calculations, resistance and powering calculations, local strength calculations, Finite element analysis, and seafastening calculations. He has designed and prepared Fire & Safety Plans, Accommodation layout, and Piping systems schematic Plan.

 

Mr. Vibhu has carried out onboard surveys including Deadweight survey, Inclining experiment and Steel condition survey. He has performed heavy weather mooring analysis for ships and conducted anchor pull test.

 

Mr. Vibhu has been involved in Marine Design and Operations, Inc.s projects related to vessel steel inspections, preparing detailed steel repair specifications, detailing required steel weights of repairs and UT steel thickness gauging. For such projects he has been working on containerships, special purpose hopper Barges.

 

Mr. Vineeth Vibhu graduated from the Cochin University of Science and Technology in Kochi, India with a B. Tech in Naval Architecture and Ship Building (Curriculum formed in association with Wilhem Pieck University, Rostok, Germany) in 2002. His subject specializations are: Design of Offshore Structures, Computer Aided Ship Design and Welding Technology.

 

Prior to joining Marine Design and Operations, Inc. in 2008, he worked with Cybermarine Group in India and Singapore since 2002. Mr. Vibhu was promoted as Deputy Manager (Design) of Cybermarine in 2005.

 

Throughout his career Mr. Vibhu has been involved in basic and detailed design of various barges, tugs, offshore supply vessels, tankers & luxury yachts.

 

Mr. Vibhu was involved in vessel conversion design of many offshore support vessels & other commercial vessels in India, Singapore and the US. He has executed the structural modification study for auxiliary structures on Offshore Supply Vessels, Drill Ships and Jackup Rigs. He has supervised structural modification on many offshore platforms in South East Asia.

 

Mr. Vineeth Vibhu is very proficient with Computer softwares, include; Engineering design packages: AutoCAD, Rhinoceros, PV Elite, GT StrudL, ALGOR FEA and NASTRAN. He is expert with Marine packages: GHS, NavCAD, CyberHull, CyberMaster, and PC-SHCP.

 

Mr. Vibhu is a member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers.
