 MDO is consulting Naval Architects to the Spaceport Company, whose mission is to create a new kind of space port that offers fast turnaround in close proximity to manufacturing sites.

To this end The Spaceport Company wants to launch rocket loaded onto a spaceport vessel, the vessel moves out to sea, rocket is launched using proprietary software, procedures, and all FAA preapproval, on completion of mission vessel returns to Port for loading next rocket to be launched.

New Construction of LNG Fueled Jones Act Containership

MDO were the Naval Architects and Marine Engineers responsible for the complete turnkey services for the new construction of two 2525 TEU containerships for the US West Coast to Hawaii Service.  The vessels were built in Brownsville, Texas.

 

MDO Provided plan review, technical analysis, and site supervision and inspection services for two Jones Act container ships built at Keppel AmFELS Brownsville, Texas.

MDO were the primary Naval Architects and Marine Engineers responsible for the complete turnkey services for the conversion of the steam powered C-9 class containerships for the US West Coast to Hawaii Service. 
 
MDO Provided plan review, technical analysis, and site inspection services the conversion in COSCO Shipyard in Nantong, China.

  • FEA analysis & vibration analysis of antennas support structure

  • Solid ballast to optimize roll motions

  • Shipyard support during conversion

Worked closely with MDA scientists to optimize radar antennas foundations
